Greencamp, the trailblazers in connecting underground entertainers, artists and music lovers is set to host its 8th Annual Arts and Entertainment Festival. Taking place on November 30th, 2024. The festival will be held at Freedom Park, Lagos, and promises to deliver yet another unforgettable experience.
Greencamp was established in 2017 by Dr. Olanrewaju ‘MoloGSD’ Abdulrazaq, Moshood ‘Smallzthedj’ Ayinde and Seyi ‘Rastavelli’ Aruleba, a group of passionate creatives who were tired of underground talents being disregarded by major platforms. The establishment of the community aimed to provide a stage for these talents, giving them the opportunity to shine and to connect them with potential listeners. This is mainly achieved by hosting events for these artists across the year and then ending with the Greencamp Festival, which has been a tradition for eight years now.
Since its inception, the festival has served as a platform to celebrate artists, culture and entertainment with a major focus on giving exceptional underground talents a chance to shine. A remarkable reference is the popular Bnxn fka Buju, who was discovered in Babcock, he performed at Greencamp in 2019 and gained massive recognition in the subsequent years, thanks to a co-sign from Zlatan Ibile. His breakout has been an affirming testament to the community’s aim of breaking the norm of relying solely on big stages for discovery. This year’s edition is no exception and with a theme of “Celebrating and showcasing exceptional underground art and entertainment”, it’s set to encourage and empower the next generation of creatives.
With the festival fast approaching, preparations are shaping up well, with a lineup including exceptional emerging talents like Izzey J, Fade The Healer, Apelete, Tobi Montana, Luchi Lu, DJ Cinq, Nezer, DJ Nugger, and many more. Also in collaboration with like-minded brands and media communities like Monster, Swaggian Inc, Squad Magazine and Primeries Africa.
Campers can look forward to exciting live performances from the carefully selected talents, fashion presentations, art exhibitions and a lot more. Campers will also have access to food and drink vendors, pop up shops to purchase pieces from streetwear brands and exclusive festival merchandise. There’s something for everyone and the unforgettable energy of the festival is sure to leave a lasting memory.
Every youth who is a lover of art, entertainment and is looking to discover new sounds should get themselves a ticket and join the community close out the year with a legendary celebration of art, music and Nigerian culture at Freedom Park, Lagos, on November 30th, 2024.
